After running the accounting and human resource departments for a large architecture and engineering firm for the past 20 years, I decided to start my own Firm, focusing on small businesses. Having joined the A/E Firm, when it had 35 people in two offices, as the first dedicated in house accountant, I created the Firm's financial system and managed it's growth to cover 175 employees, 9 offices, valve repair shop, design build entity, and two real estate LLCs, holding four separate properties. During this time, I oversaw and handled accounts payable, accounts receivable, asset tracking, payroll processing, general ledger journal entries and monthly and yearly financials. I also was the plan administrator for all the human resource plans and business insurance policies.
